Team skier: Marcus Brown
WS: What is the HO A1 slalom water ski’s single best performance feature ?
MB: The best feature of the HO A1 is the low tip height. The result is the largest sweet spot of any ski on the market. It allows skiers to make multiple mistakes and still keep their eyes on the prize.
WS: How does the HO A1 slalom water ski accommodate your particular style/method ?
MB: The flatter ride keeps the ski fast, yet allows me to slide a turn on a dime when I’m in trouble. Because of the fatter tail design, not only does the ski never kick out, but when I do dig a hole at the buoy the ski never stops.
WS: Is there a particular skiing style the HO A1 is best suited for ?
MB: It is a completely different design from any other ski and different is good. Who wants to pay over a grand for a brand-new ski that is just like the old one? This ski is what every skier wants, but just doesn’t know it yet. It allows you to ski better and not get penalized for making mistakes.
WS: How close to the factory settings is your setup ?
MB: I’m really close to stock. The biggest difference is a little added depth.
Depth: 2.515”
Length: 6.88”
Distance from tail: .765”
